Japanese Alt-Rock Visual Kei band Z CLEAR presents their first full album“Shidaishigou”, an relentless blast of rock that hits hard. This work was released in both digital and physical formats on May 6, 2026.

All or nothing, that’s “Shidaishigou” for Z CLEAR. The band formed in 2019 in Hiroshima. After relocating to Tokyo in 2024, Z CLEAR signed with PARAGUAS inc. in 2025. Under the close mentorship of fellow band XANVALA, this album is their first widely distributed release under the label.

“Shidaishigou” is an expression that translates to “supremely great, supremely strong”. Z CLEAR embodies the idea of creating empowering music through what they call “Buchi ROCK” (Super Rock).

We are Z CLEAR, a Visual Kei band from Hiroshima, now based in Tokyo. Our ‘Buchi ROCK’  concept is Rock ‘n’ Roll infused with the personalities and life philosophies of all four members. Japanese Alt-Rock Visual Kei band Misui presents their new mini-album “Doku ni mo Kusuri ni mo”, creating a space where what hurts may also heal. This work has been available on digital platforms since April 8, 2026, with the physical release scheduled for May 20.

“Doku ni mo Kusuri ni mo” is a six-track mini album compiling four consecutive singles released in recent months, along with two brand new songs. The physical edition also includes a DVD featuring the music videos for the promotional track “Boku no mono ni wa naranai kimi e” and “Heroine shikkou”.

Vocalist Ryu shares a statement on the release:

We are Misui, a band built around the concept of ‘weakness.’ Our third mini album, ‘Doku ni mo Kusuri ni mo’ (‘Neither Poison nor Medicine’), will be released on May 20.

‘Poison’ and ‘medicine’ may seem like complete opposites, but they are actually two sides of the same coin. For example, foods considered unhealthy are often the most delicious, while an overdose of medicine can even lead to death.

Depending on the listener, it might be ‘poison.’ Depending on the moment, it might be ‘medicine.’ This six-track release embodies that idea. This work may reveal whether Misui is ‘poison’ or ‘medicine’ to you.

Emerging from Thailand, Tragedy of Murder is a metal band pushing boundaries, blending the raw intensity of deathcore with striking aesthetics inspired by the Japanese Visual Kei movement. As the Asian metal scene continues to expand worldwide, Tragedy of Murder stands out as a promising act that brings Thailand’s metal voice to audiences beyond its borders.

Tragedy of Murder has been building momentum with their latest singles “After the Storm” (January 12) and “INSULA” (April 2), marking a prolific start to 2026 and a clear statement of intent.

The single “After the Storm” marks their first collaboration with a Japanese Visual Kei artist, vocalist – kagami – of the metalcore band DEXCORE. It signals a hook-driven approach that sets it apart from past works. Built on metalcore foundations, the song balances melody and heaviness, while – kagami –’s clean vocals and powerful breakdown screams introduce a new emotional dimension that amplifies the overall impact. The song explores life’s duality, where happiness and suffering coexist as inevitable forces, ultimately serving as a reminder that everything fades and nothing lasts forever.

Lead vocalist Jeddy shares insights on the song:

The single ‘After the Storm’ represents the development of our musical sound toward something more melodic, while still maintaining its aggression. It also marks a return to the band’s metalcore roots.

The single was produced by Pongpan Polsit (Oak), bassist of iconic Thai rock band Big Ass, with mixing and mastering by Callan Orr, guitarist of Australian metalcore act Dream On Dreamer.

The music video, directed by IRO9X, employs Virtual Lab technology to build an immersive fantasy world around the band and the guest artist. Its production was supported by Thailand’s Creative Economy Agency (CEA).

In addition, the Thai act has recently unveiled their single “INSULA”, which is part of the collaborative album “Brain Mechanism” from Vom Records. Featuring eleven artists that add their own color, this exclusive album explores how the human brain processes perception and emotions, translating that experience into music. Japanese Alt-Rock Visual Kei act XANVALA has released their latest work, “INDRA-EP”, now streaming on all major music platforms as of September 3, 2025. A physical edition, including a CD and a live DVD, will be available for purchase on October 8.

“INDRA-EP” fuses Hindu and Buddhist themes, expressing a bold desire for transformation and liberation. Like the god Indra wielding his mighty Vajra, XANVALA proves why they are considered one of the driving forces shaping the new generation of Visual Kei. Featuring six tracks, it takes listeners on a journey of transmutation, both conceptually and in sound, blending their signature vibrant rock with the intensity of metalcore influences.

Vocalist and lyricist Tatsumi comments on the EP:

The concept is a thunderbolt, but the idea was more about channeling its nature into the songs: it’s electrifying, untouchable, and slips through on its own. A sense of rejection is also subtly scattered throughout the lyrics as an underlying theme.

In addition, XANVALA released a new live DVD on August 20, capturing the final date of their “Ark” tour at EX Theater Roppongi on May 5, 2025. The concert, delivered with top-notch production, left fans eagerly anticipating the band’s next big move.

Japanese Alt-rock Visual Kei band Misui dropped their second full album, “Seimeisen,” on March 26, 2025. Channeling pain, sadness, and despair, Misui presents a well-balanced album that creates a musically cathartic experience.

“Seimeisen” features 11 tracks, including the promotional song “…Ah, Buzama” and the singles released since their signing to PARAGUAS inc. in 2023: “Nennen korori,” “Bai bai mahi,” “Ichibanboshi ni negau koto,” and “Aizuchi.” The album also includes a DVD compiling the music videos for the five aforementioned songs. This second album, compared to our first one, “Shinibasho,” introduces even more powerful elements to showcase a different Misui. It also includes some previously released songs. The tracklist order was carefully arranged, creating an amazing flow, so it all comes together as one complete work. Japanese Alt-rock Visual Kei band XANVALA released their new album “BANQUET” on August 28, 2024. This work offers a rich feast of raw fierce songs as the main course, complemented by vibrant melodies that cleanse the palate. The album features 13 tracks, including the digital singles “CULTURE”, “R.I.P”, “Ashita mushi ni natte mo”, “Honno”, and “Rinpun”.  

In addition, the band hinted at the intense vibe of this work by unleashing the visually shocking music video for “Jabara” prior to the album’s release. “Jabara” is a haunting track that showcases the darker side of XANVALA, combining an aggressive sound with emotionally piercing vocals. Japanese alternative band XANVALA released the digital single “R.I.P” on January 31, a hard-rocking track that beautifully blends a blast of frenzied energy with a melancholic aura.   

“R.I.P” showcases XANVALA’s mastery of a riff-driven, intense yet melodic style that heats the stage. Composed by guitarist Yuhma, this single presents a palpitating rhythm with guitar work that brings out the emotional side of the song along with the vocals.

It’s a song with the distinctive XANVALA-like sound. As for the lyrics, each person should give their own interpretation based on their perception.

In addition to this digital single, XANVALA will be releasing a live Blu-ray and DVD on March 20, featuring the finale of their previous tour “ANS” at Ebisu Liquidroom on August 31, 2023. Pre-orders start on March 10 through the Starwave Records online store, where fans will get a signed photobook as an exclusive benefit.

The band recently celebrated their 4th anniversary with the final date of the first leg of the Japanese tour “THE CULTURE”, which will culminate on April 11 at Zepp Shinjuku.

As part of a new generation, XANVALA is determined to continue showing that the Visual Kei culture is very much alive and still has plenty to offer to the world.

Japanese alternative act XANVALA released a new digital single on July 26, 2023. In contrast to their vibrant rock songs, “Ashita, mushi ni natte mo” is one of their heaviest works so far.

XANVALA has flipped the coin again to present their fierce dark side with “Ashita, mushi ni natte mo”.  The Kafkaesque title is translated into English as ‘Even if I turn into a bug tomorrow’. The song explores the anguish of an infectious love that feels like a curse.  

This new digital single is a killer banger that falls into the alt-metal sound infused with djent elements, down-tuned guitar riffs, hard-hitting drums, and a combination of screams and clean vocals.

The members of XANVALA commented on the single:

The song itself is heavy, and so are the lyrics. Staying true to the theme, the song turned into a heavy love song.

Since their formation in 2020, XANVALA stills building momentum and making waves with exciting music. Japanese alt-rock band XANVALA proudly presented their second album “NIX” on March 29, 2023. XANVALA offers top-notch rock tracks that show the maturity and growth of the band over the last three years.

In contrast to their well-received first album “Tsuki to Taiyou” released one year ago; “NIX” is not about duality, but a new canvas for exploring their multidimensionality. From the art direction, music arrangements to the emotive voice work, there is a strong sense of elegance emanating from the album without compromising the excitement and edginess of rock music.

The 14 tracks album compiles digital singles like “NIX”, “joke”, “Que Será, Será”, among others; and includes new songs like the promotional “Meimei”.

The members of XANVALA comment on the album:

This album is more on the emotional side. I wanted to show through the lyrics a glimpse of “humanity” in each story, while still exploring the many facets of XANVALA. I hope you can perceive a little growth in us.

It turned out to be a great work. After all the sound experimentation after our first album, I feel that I reached the point where I don’t need to look for something new to try out. It demonstrates how much we have progressed and matured. And precisely because of its maturity, it’s more interesting and sets apart from the others. It feels strange and different to me but, at the same time, I’m very fond of it. There are many strong feelings towards this album that I haven’t been able to completely acknowledge them yet. To sum it all up, it is a mature and bold album that I am proud of. I’m sure it will impress everyone out there.

This album will help to understand more what XANVALA is about. All the songs are strong rivals that showcase the special assets of each different composer. For instance, I incorporated elements of J-pop (where my original roots are grounded in) for “Haru ga sasaru” and I also put a taste of K-pop in “joke”, which is a genre I listen to in my everyday life. These songs of various colors are connected by the lyrics of Tatsumi, creating a coherent story. The album is a confident recommendation for a new listener.

It is quite common that people only listen to 1 or 2 songs from an album and call it a day. But this album is not like that. I’d be happy if everyone can enjoy it in its entirety.

For the ones who aren’t familiar with our music, I would like them to listen to our previous works first. Then, if you listen to this new album, you’ll see how our sound has evolved. Rather than focusing on heaviness, we tried a more sophisticated and progressive approach. Please enjoy all the songs!
