The Japanese Gothic Rock band THE SOUND BEE HD has unleashed the music video for “WALKING DEAD 2021”. This is a new version of the song released in 2017 and it was taken into the studio to be re-recorded for the best-of album DEAD MEMORIES-THE SOUND BEE HD 20th anniversary- that hit the stores on May 26.

“WALKING DEAD” is definitely the most iconic song from the band that captivated many fans with its haunting synth intro and high-distorted guitar riffs, as well as the obvious reference to the popular tv show from which they took inspiration for the zombies’ theme. This new version presents a more aggressive sound with an exponential industrial influence, showcasing the current style of the quartet.

The best-of album DEAD MEMORIES-THE SOUND BEE HD 20th anniversary- is not only a retrospective of their career, but also a glimpse of their current and future approach. Follow the road of horror and melancholy that this Shinigami band has been building year after year!

In celebration of the band’s 20th anniversary, the Gothic Rock band THE SOUND BEE HD has released a new best-of album titled DEAD MEMORIES-THE SOUND BEE HD 20th anniversary- on May 26.

This is a double-disc that compiles 29 tracks, featuring new versions of “WALKING DEAD”, “SOU”, “doku”, “live”, “maimu” and their early-stage song “SLIPPING TO THE HOLE”. The old tunes may make the fans nostalgic, but the re-recorded tracks convey the experience and evolution of the band.

Originally, THE SOUND BEE HD was supposed to celebrate the band’s 20th anniversary in June 2020, but this release and the commemorative concert were postponed to this year due to the pandemic. In addition, they took a brief break to allow vocalist DaISUKE DARK SIDE to recover from the affection of throat polyps. THE SOUND BEE HD returned to live activities by the end of the winter season and announced the release of this new work with the spot of the re-recorded iconic song “WALKING DEAD” in April.

Through several releases over the years, the band has been taking their fans into a dark and horror-like world. Going through their Japanese Gothic era, stepping into their zombie theme direction for what they’re now known for, and going forward with the heavy and aggressive sound shown on the previous mini-album First Blood.

Como parte de las celebraciones de su vigésimo aniversario, la banda de rock gótico THE SOUND BEE HD ha lanzado un nuevo álbum recopilatorio titulado DEAD MEMORIES-THE SOUND BEE HD 20th anniversary- el 26 de mayo.

Es un disco doble que compila 29 temas, incluyendo nuevas versiones de “WALKING DEAD”, “SOU”, “doku”, “live”, “maimu” y “SLIPPING TO THE HOLE”, siendo esta última una canción de la época de su formación. Las canciones antiguas pueden despertar la nostalgia de los fans, pero los temas regrabados transmiten la experiencia y la evolución de la banda.

Originalmente, THE SOUND BEE HD iba a celebrar su vigésimo aniversario en junio de 2020, pero este lanzamiento y el concierto conmemorativo se tuvieron que posponer hasta este año debido a la pandemia. Asimismo, se tomaron un breve descanso para que el vocalista DaISUKE DARK SIDE pudiera recuperarse de una afección de pólipos en la garganta. THE SOUND BEE HD regresó a las actividades en vivo a finales del invierno y para abril se anunció el lanzamiento de este nuevo trabajo con el spot de la versión regrabada de la icónica canción “WALKING DEAD”.

A través de diversos lanzamientos a lo largo de los años, la banda ha ido llevando a sus fans a un mundo oscuro y de terror. Pasando por su era gótica japonesa, entrando en la dirección de su temática de zombis por la cual ahora son conocidos, y avanzando con el sonido pesado y agresivo mostrado en el anterior mini-álbum First Blood.

Finally, THE SOUND BEE HD will release a new long-awaited mini-album in January 2020! “First Blood” will contain five new songs plus a DVD with the music video of the title track. It will be available to purchase in advance at their upcoming oneman live on December 13th at Ikebukuro CHOP.

THE SOUND BEE HD kept themselves busy in 2019 with the promotions for “DEAD SILENCE” and the compilation “ghost note”, and performing outside Japan at the Saboten Con in Phoenix (Arizona, USA) and at the Expo TNT in Mexico City. Japanese Visual Kei band THE SOUND BEE HD will be performing in Mexico City at the Expo TNT 38. THE SOUND BEE HD is scheduled to perform at the anime convention on November 2nd and 3rd at Centro de Convenciones Tlatelolco. Further details of their activities and the event itself will be announced soon.

THE SOUND BEE HD is a Visual Kei from Japan formed by vocalist DaISUKE DARK SIDE (ex-Media Youth), guitarist Yuu (lix, ex-SUICIDE ALI), bassist YOU and drummer HIRO. Their music is a mix of rock, metal, and electro elements blended with a goth and horror atmosphere. The band started as the solo project of former Media Youth vocalist DaISUKE at the end of the ’90s and, after some name changes, they finally established as THE SOUND BEE HD around 2005. They joined the record company Starwave Records in 2010. They have also performed in the USA and China. The latest releases of the band are their ballade collection “ghost note” and their mini-album “DEAD SILENCE”.
