El sencillo “After the Storm” es su primera colaboración con un artista japonés de Visual Kei, el vocalista -kagami- de la banda de metalcore DEXCORE. Refleja una dirección más accesible que lo distingue de trabajos anteriores. Construida sobre una base de metalcore, la canción equilibra melodía y pesadez, mientras que las voces limpias y los potentes breakdowns de -kagami- aportan una nueva dimensión emocional que lleva su impacto a otro nivel. La canción explora la dualidad de la vida, donde la felicidad y el sufrimiento coexisten como fuerzas inevitables, siendo un recordatorio de que todo es pasajero y nada dura para siempre.

El sencillo ‘After the Storm’ representa la evolución de nuestro sonido hacia algo más melódico, sin dejar de mantener su agresividad. También marca un regreso a las raíces metalcore de la banda.

El sencillo fue producido por Pongpan Polsit (Oak), bajista de la icónica banda de rock tailandesa Big Ass, con la mezcla y masterización a cargo de Callan Orr, guitarrista de la banda australiana de metalcore Dream On Dreamer.

El video musical, dirigido por IRO9X, emplea tecnología Virtual Lab para construir un mundo de fantasía inmersivo alrededor de la banda y el artista invitado. Su producción contó con el apoyo de la Agencia de Economía Creativa (CEA) de Tailandia.

Tragedy of Murder has been building momentum with their latest singles “After the Storm” (January 12) and “INSULA” (April 2), marking a prolific start to 2026 and a clear statement of intent.

The single “After the Storm” marks their first collaboration with a Japanese Visual Kei artist, vocalist – kagami – of the metalcore band DEXCORE. It signals a hook-driven approach that sets it apart from past works. Built on metalcore foundations, the song balances melody and heaviness, while – kagami –’s clean vocals and powerful breakdown screams introduce a new emotional dimension that amplifies the overall impact. The song explores life’s duality, where happiness and suffering coexist as inevitable forces, ultimately serving as a reminder that everything fades and nothing lasts forever.

The single ‘After the Storm’ represents the development of our musical sound toward something more melodic, while still maintaining its aggression. It also marks a return to the band’s metalcore roots.

The single was produced by Pongpan Polsit (Oak), bassist of iconic Thai rock band Big Ass, with mixing and mastering by Callan Orr, guitarist of Australian metalcore act Dream On Dreamer.

The music video, directed by IRO9X, employs Virtual Lab technology to build an immersive fantasy world around the band and the guest artist. Its production was supported by Thailand’s Creative Economy Agency (CEA).

In addition, the Thai act has recently unveiled their single “INSULA”, which is part of the collaborative album “Brain Mechanism” from Vom Records.
