New Visual kei unit Zeke Deux<\/strong>, formed by Scarlet Valse<\/a>\u2019s frontman Kakeru <\/strong>and the Reveude<\/strong>\u2019s guitarist Haruka<\/strong>, released the demo tape Zero <\/em>on November 24, 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A first listen to the sound of Zeke Deux<\/strong> was given through the \u201cZero\u201d music video, featuring a melodic heavy base with a powerful rhythm infused with symphonic elements and fast guitar work. The elegant military aesthetics reinforce their concept of \u201ca revolutionary army\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite being a unit, Zeke Deux<\/strong> is not a 2-piece band. Guitarist Satsuki<\/strong>, bassist Jr.<\/strong> \/ bassist Maya<\/strong>, and drummer Loa<\/strong> will be joining Kakeru <\/strong>and Haruka <\/strong>on stage as \u201cproject members\u201d. Zeke Deux <\/strong>debuted live on November 11 at Ebisu club aim in Tokyo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regardless of living in a digital era, Zeke Deux<\/strong> decided to make an interesting move by releasing a cassette tape instead of a regular CD. The tape contains the tracks \u201cZero\u201d and \u201cPhantom Pain\u201d. This can be purchased at Starwave Records online shop.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the recent announcements of the upcoming disbandment of the Reveude<\/strong> and Scarlet Valse<\/strong> pausing activities indefinitely next year, Kakeru <\/strong>and Haruka <\/strong>have stated that those events are not related to the formation of Zeke Deux<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As \u201ctwo zeros that head to a future full of possibilities\u201d<\/em>, the joint project is gearing up to record new songs and add more concerts in hopes to inspire others to keep moving forward through music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
