Japanese Metal act Zeke Deux<\/strong> released their second mini-album “Lux en Athena”<\/em> on February 22, 2023. The band continues their journey to captivate new audiences with their Power Metal infused sound and Gothic visuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This new work is the expression of gratitude to their fans, who are called \u201cLux\u201d, as they are the core of the band and the ones who bring light to Zeke Deux<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The invigorating title-track \u201cLux en Athena\u201d features encouraging lyrics from the vivid spirit of vocalist Kakeru<\/strong>. With the chorus phrase \u201cSince you firmly believed in the me who I am now, I reach out for the light that shines through, leaving the past behind\u201d<\/em>, the song is a reminder that you are not alone and it\u2019s never late to pick yourself up and move forward to new heights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bassist Maya<\/strong>, composer of the song, comments:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I put emphasis while making \u201cLux en Athena\u201d on bringing a sense of liberation, similar to fog clearing away instantly, and igniting the soul with euphoria. In addition, this tune expresses our feelings for [our fans] Lux. It\u2019s a melody that takes us far beyond, hand in hand with Lux.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

This mini-album includes the tragic and eerie \u201cCatastrophe\u201d, the poetic rock ballad \u201cCatharsis\u201d, along with the haunting \u201cLucifer\u201d. Those singles were concert and mail-order exclusives released last year. Lux en Athena<\/em> also contains the newly produced tracks \u201cFeel like the Wind\u201d and \u201cSapphire\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since their formation in 2020, Zeke Deux<\/strong> has been active across the major cities of Japan. However, they have stated to be working on expanding to new areas. The band made their overseas debut in Switzerland at a Japanese culture-oriented event last autumn, fueling the desire of the group to reach new people all over the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
